Ampeg SVT 4 PRO - DI question

One of the DI's went out on the back of the SVT PRO 4 head. Now, about 3 months later the second DI just went out. Any suggestions? Fixes?

Take it to an amp tech.

Get it fixed and grab yourself a high-quality DI box for future shows. Radial JDI is a great one.

Maybe try some Deoxit contact cleaner in there before you take it to a tech, but if that doesn't work, it's definitely best left to a tech to sort out. Repairs for DI's USUALLY aren't too costly.

The two transformers that isolate those outputs are connected off-board by a harness with connectors that can go bad/get oxidized.

A bit of contact cleaner on them and wiggling the connectors may do the trick.

You DO need to be able to take the top off and identify the DI transformers and wire harness..... (after the amp has been unplugged and off for 15 min or so.).

If in doubt, a tech can be the cheapest option.
