Ampeg SVT 450T?

Sign in to disble this ad
Wondering how this amp is, I've been looking for an amp that can run two 4 ohm cabs, and found one locally. Did a quick google search and nothing really came up review wise. I've never seen one, and it can't just be a rack version of the SVT 450h as the B2R is the rack version, right?

Here is the manual for anyone that may be interested: http://www.ampeg.com/pdf/SVT400T.pdf

Saw a pic of a doom guy using a 400t once. That's about the extent of my knowledge. The styling is very early SLM, though, like 1993 and before.

Damn, I was thinking if somebody knew anything about them it would be you .

I'm a little hesitant to get it as most of the SS Ampegs I've played haven't really been for me, but this looks like a pretty cool amp.

Hoping someone has some kind of knowledge about them..

There's one at one of my Sam Ash's for cheap. Is this a tube head? It looks like a big rack amp. Never seen one befor and should have taken a picture of it. Is this the rack version of the SVT450H?

Anybody?

I don't know if its comparable to the 450H, but if you google Ampeg SVT 400T, you get a number of results. It is rack-mountable.

I had the 400-T it was solid state. Mediocre tone and under powered. It's also a brick house in weight! Unless it was a killer price I'd get something else.

That's what I got out of the replies and online research I did, I decided to pass on it and keep my Tour 700 until something better pops up at a better price.

Thanks, again guys!
