That to me sounds like bologna but it got me thinking, I might like to idea of a clean blend with fuzz via the fx level knob on the front of the amp. I'm actually thinking of trying the fx loop out for my fuzz, maybe even my whole board, anybody else ever try this?

| | | | Hey guys, I've had my 7Pro for about a year now- rev c, no issues. I love this head! It sounds awesome with a P bass. Can I have a number? |

I was planning on buying a GK 1001RB-II (which I had before) to replace the Carvin B2000 in my gig rig. Then I came across this thread and was convinced I should give the SVT-7 Pro a shot instead. So glad I did!!
Ampeg amps have always been appealing to me but I never owned one of their "gig worthy" amps (I practice at home with a Micro-VR). So far, while just giving it a test run and exploring different settings, I am really digging the tones I'm getting from this thing. My first time ever (in over 25 years of playing) with a compressor...and with the "less-is-more" advice found in this thread, it appears to really tighten/clean up the tone.
Very excited to get this amp out to a gig!! I'm in a working cover band that usually plays 1-2 nights per week, so it will definitely be put to the test over the coming months. I'll report back for those interested. I'm pretty confident I will be looking for my number at that point

| | | | Awesome... Oh, and yes- the FX loop is very useful, especially w/ the blend knob.

At less than 40 pounds per cab, us older guys can actually carry them! The sound is quite good.

here's my 7PRO with a pair of PN-115's. It great when gigs only require one cab but is thunderous with both.
