Have the chance to trade my SVT 7 plus some cash for an M-Pulse 600. Any comparisons between the 2? Similar sounding at all?

To my ear, little to no similarity, and having owned both I wouldn't make that trade unless you wanted to make a move toward a more pillowy, squishier sound. Until the Streamliner, the M-Pulse 600 was the tubiest sounded hybrid I had ever heard (the Walkabout is close, but is a differnt animal). If you like the edge and snap of the 7Pro, I don't think you will be happy with the M-Pulse.

I also owned both and never got the Mesa to sound good to my ears. The Ampeg 7 Pro sounded awesome right from the start, but mine was a Revision A that kept shutting down. Now that they're at Revision C that problem is fixed, so I'm looking to buy one again.

My 7 pro (rev C) has performed flawlessly. Love it! Haven't tried an M-pulse tho.

7 Pro with a good 4/10 cab IMHO.

My 7 Pro is a Rev C and it does work perfectly. My main gigging rig is a Mesa BB750 but I'm just so tempted to have a couple of Mesa amps hence the temptation to trade for the M Pulse 600
