Ampeg SVT 7 Pro Voltage???

Hey everyone,

I bought a new SVT 7 Pro from Ebay last week, and it's on its way to me now (I live in NZ).

The switching power supply on the back says it can change between 110v and 240v?, and the USA and NZ voltages are different - USA is 110 and NZ is 220.

So the question is, will this switch enable me to use my new USA voltage SVT 7 Pro in NZ without any problems by simply flipping the switch, or will I have to buy a transformer of sorts?

I've been in contact with a few tech people in my area, and I have to take it to them to get it checked out as soon as I get it, just in case I fudge something up. So in the meantime I thought I'd ask everyone if they had any experience or tips with this problem.

Yes.. It should be fine..

A SMPS can be auto switching or might need a switch or jumper changing. The amp should tell you on the back panel.

It'll be fine. That's why they put the voltage select switch, so you can use them world wide.
