Hi gang

I had one of the original prototypes back in April of 2007 Ampeg SVT-8 Pro came today!!!. It had a nasty RF hum that would come and go depending in how you positioned your bass. Not good! I did like the tone, so I took the plunge and will let everyone know what it's all about after I get it.

I have a Markbass SD1200 that is going back. Nice amp, but I need tubes!!!

I hear ya on the tubes, man. Something about slapping with tubes vs solid state. With tubes sound is phatter and more solid to me. I just picked up a svt 7 pro and lovin it! Like svt 3 pro with more power and lighter weight. Red clip light is not coming on as quick like 3 and 4 pro. That is a change for Amped in my estimation. It was frustrating before.
