So out of boredom I came across this today while searching for ampeg bass head images.
Can someone explain this image to me?
This "SVT 8 Pro" is clearly a 4 space rack mount head ala a SVT 4 or SVT 2. And it certainly doesnt look like that image is 23 pounds as it says (Obviously the description is off the Ampeg page)
But every other SVT 8 ive seen was a 2 rack space head that looked like that image but shrunk.
What am I looking at in that picture? A prototype? I mean man that thing looks cool, super expensive but cool.
Any Ideas?
And I did do some limited google research and didnt find any apparent explanation. |

That is truly what it looks like. I have seen and played two of them. |

Anyway, with lots of computer programs you have options when sizing pictures. Just for example, with MS Word, when you "grab" a picture in the text , there are "grips" on the corners, and in the middle of each side of the picture box. The corners shrink/expand it proportionally in both directions, while the ones on the sides just shrink/expand that direction*..... so the proportions get distorted. I bet that's what happened.
* Yes, the editing system can grab those with a proportional scaling tool, but.....

Just when I was getting used to the idea of the 7 Pro being the most impressive implementation of class D I had heard, now you tell me that this $2000 amp is even better?
