Ampeg SVT-810E -Top 4 Louder than Bottom 4?

Hi, Recently acquired a 1994 SVT-810E and it appears the top four speakers sound louder than the bottom four. Is this normal or is something off? Paired it up with a Carvin BX600 amp. Thanks.

Maybe because the upper four drivers are closer to ear level that's why they seem to be louder. Try inverting the cab and see if the perception is still the same.

I'd pull the grill cover off, to see if all the speakers are the same

Mine has that issue... but I put 4 Jensen Mod10-50's on top. They're far more present.

I was thinking the same. I'll give that a try and take a listen.
