Question Ampeg Svt-CL Tube trouble

Sign in to disble this ad
I decided to play with some sounds in my amp, so I've been trying out some different tubes I ended up with six KT88 power tubes and some other JJ electronics stuff in the Preamp, but now that I've gotten it all put back together I've got no output. I have no idea what the problem is. I've done everything I can think of.

Taking any troubleshooting suggestions before I have to take this to a Pro.

Did you bias the amp when you changed the tubes?

Pull all the small pre tubes and make sure you don't have bent pins. They can be straightened very gently but don't pry against the glass.
Speaker cab plugged in?

I reseated all the tubs.. All pins are straight, all the tubes fit firmly. And I tried both 1/4" and speakon to the cab

All interconnect cables seated? Do you get the glow from all tube heaters (some may be tough to see), do you get the blue glow from the KT88's when you go off standby?

Still not sure what the problem was, but I removed all 11 tubes and put them back in and it's working fine.
