Ampeg SVT III Pro - Older model worth picking up?

I have a chance to pick up an Ampeg SVTIII Pro (mid 90's model) for $250. It's in working condition but evidently has a lot of touring mileage on it. Is this worth picking up at this price? I've heard varying opinions on these amps. Thanks!

As long as it works, I don't see why not.

For $250 I'd say go for it. It's not an absolute steal, but it's priced well enough that you could flip it and not lose money.
