| AMPEG SVT-IIP Preamp issues
Hi all,
I used to have an Ampeg SVT-IIp preamp about 15 years ago and really liked it. I ended up selling it (grass is greener, right?) and wished I hadn't. I bought another one on TB about 5 years ago and couldn't get enough output out of it to drive my amp. I would have to dime the gain and the EQ level to get enough for bedroom level. I took it to a local tech and he said eveything checked out. The amp that I originally had paired with the first one that I had was a mono Ampeg amp of which I don't remember the specs. of, or the model. I am currently using a QSC PLX 2402. Just fishin' for input to see if anyone else has had this problem or just any comment in general. I really liked the sound of the original one that I had and would like to find one that would work for me. Thanks |
