Probably the 2nd or 3rd most discussed Ampeg amp around here. MANY threads on this amp- a quick search will give you everything you need.

I own and gig with a pair of them. IMO, tonally similar to the 2-Pro and an overall good hybrid amp. It's not quite as sweet as all tube Ampeg (using my V4BH as a comparison) but it does what it does very well, and in a live band setting you wont't notice the differences. One thing you'll read about the 3-Pro is that some people feel they are underpowered. That comes from users not setting the gain structure right. You really need to crank the input gain and maybe even bump the master EQ slider a bit. Once it's set right they can be as loud as you want, esp. if running it on a 4 ohm load.

I love my SVT 3 Pro!
I run it through a 410hlf and it kills.
There are so many variations with the frequency selector and the EQ. Three years on and I'm still playing around with it!
I recently got a Samsamp RBI and run that through the FX loop and it is now the best sound I've ever had - deep, grindy and cuts through the mix brilliantly.

I've had a few over the years, and I'd keep the Marshall personally...

If you have to go hybrid Ampeg, at least get the 4Pro.
