Ampeg SVT610 question...

Sign in to disble this ad
I have searched these forums for about 2 hours looking for an answer to this question. I recently has a mishap with my two top 10" speakers and my horn getting damn near submerged in water and blowing after playing a gig. I didnt realize they had been wet until after the gig the next day.

I dont think the crossover is blown but the horn seems to be rusted inside and the 2 top 10"s split. Aparently the cab was laying on its back and had water spilled on it and it actually filled up the horn and leaked into the cab itself, this I found out about 2 days after playing on wet speakers. Needless to say I am pissed, but am in dire need of help finding out this info.

I need to replace the driver/horn and the 2 top 10"s woofers asap but they are 6ohm speakers and I cant seem a direct replacement or find what the horn/driver/tweeter is. Does anyone know a direct replacement woofer and horn for this cab? I dont want to get into rewiring the entire cabinet, I just want to swap out the bad with the good. I am retarded when it comes to impedence, parallel and series wiring and really cant afford to keep blowing speakers.

Please help! I am a touring musician and need to replace these asap!

Thanks in advance!

6 ohm, and they are available from other vendors. There was a link in an earlier thread of where to find the OEM 6 ohm eminence drivers, I'd try searching some more on here, it was probably 3-4 months ago that I saw the thread.

Edit - fliptops also has them available although it wasn't the source I was looking for: ($89)

Orange county speaker: ($125)
