Ampeg V-4B through GK 410RBH (Help!)

Hi

I just wanted some help on plugging a V-4B through this GK cabinet.

The cabinet has some weird plug. Are there any issues?

I think you will need to use the 1/4" full range input. Mine has a little cap on it that you might need to remove. The larger jack is for the bi-amp speakon cable that comes with a GK head.

Yep, you can just plug a 1/4" speaker cable into the speakers Full Range input, and then set your V4 Ohm selector switch to the 8-ohm position.

oh yea, forgot about the switch. But fyi, these cabs come in 4ohm and 8ohm so look at the back panel, more than likely you have the 8ohm.

mine is a 4 ohm.. so i did what you told me but switching to 4 ohm. The thing is there is almost no sound coming out of it.

Please help

Have you played the head through a different cabinet with no problems?

yup... just bought it on ebay.

the guy said it just been serviced by a tech, Chuck Hauke at Ziggy's in Phoenix.

i hope its nothing.

Check your stanby switch on front of the amp.

If you're just talking about using the jack, it looks like you should be able to, if you have the plug wired correctly to use "bridge/full".

The V4B doesn't have a built-in crossover, so it's it a good idea to bypass the crossover on the cab by feeding it into the bi-amp.
