Ampeg V4 cab restoration comlete!

Sign in to disble this ad
Well I finally finished my V4 cab restoration. With alot of help from Johnk and others....Thank you all! I replaced the tolex, grill, and hardware with material from Fliptops. And I replaced the old trashed rola speakers with Eminence Neo Basslite S2012s. The tolex job was fairly easy. I made a new grill frame because the original was all warped and out of whack. I struggled alittle at first with the grill cloth but Johnk helped me thru it, along with just about the entire restoration, Thanks again. It looks and great and sounds even better. Here are some before and afters.

My V4B bottom was a 2X15" folded horn deal. Wicked velocity. Couldnt hear the bass for 20'. But it was not pretty, and had no grille cloth.

NICE!
