But being that the cab was a four hour drive from here, it wasn't worth the gamble when I already have a ton of gear and was in no major rush to buy a cab. The main reason I was even looking at it was its width. It bugs the crap out of me for the V4 to hang over the sides of a smaller cab. I know. Silly issue but one I just can't get around. | I am in your camp about the width missmatch. A V-2 or an '80's SVT410e will get you right
You could also get a modern SVT410HE and convert it to sit on it's side. You can use existing holes for the chrome corners to install rubber feet and I believe you can flip the logo without adding holes. There is always one of those on C.L. (depending on where you live I guess).
And speaking of cosmetic issues - I think the V4 would look wrong on the PR410HLF - I am glad you saved the trip

Again, the whole "too narrow" thing is a stupid issue to have. But it bugs me to no end.

But the day I decided to try that, all the ones on CL just suddenly vanished around here. Up until then there were half a dozen pretty close by. But, again, I am both cheap and swimming in gear. So I'll hold out a little longer.
Thanks for the tips.

The other has the original speakers in it. Ill try and snap a pic. This one also has the original tubes too.
The reviews weren't kidding about these suckers being loud. So clean too.
Couple questions.. is there a way to get drive one these? I don't see a gain or a distortion switch...
I do see a foot switch jack in the back... what does that control?
One of my guitarists stopped by and gave them both a try was super impressed with the clarity tone an clean headroom..
My other guitarist is coming over later since he's stoked to try them too..
I really dig the sound of the one setup for the v4b.. it might end up. Replacing my swr sm400.. gotta play with both a bunch more too see which I really like best | Quote:

looking to find a flight case to build my vt22 head into.. having the outside dimensions would help narrow my search.

will this cab (4x12) be applicable for bass? or would using this as a bass cab destroy it? I might grab this and sell my vt22 rather than tear apart a perfectly good combo amp
