Hey, so I can get my hands on a VT-22 combo in good shape for around $650. I know it is a "guitar amp, but I really like the two pre-inputs channel one is gain knob and distortion knob and channel two is the normal v4 controls. It also has a master volume knob which is cool.

So I am wondering is there any way I can make this combo more bass friendly?

-Would it be possible to make the cab sealed in ported.

-They are the original speakers, is this good or bad?

Thanks.

The speakers are not going to like bass much at all. The amp should love your bass just fine. Don't try to seal the combo, those tubes get very hot and need the air. You try to close it in and you may just turn it into a smoker.

well, if i did it...I would re-house everything into their own separate boxes.
So the speakers themselves are a no go huh?....

Nice tone for guitar......not for bass. Unless you want to play very quietly? I think you are probably going to want to hear that old girl though

Huh?
So are you going just to the bass cab or the 212s and the bass cab?

aw dude, don't gut a vt-22. get a v4 or v4b instead. vt-22 is a classic guitar amp worth way more in one piece than gutted. but if you absolutely positively have to, make sure you hold onto everything to make it right again.
