Amphead through a combo?

Sign in to disble this ad
My SVT 3 Pro came yesterday and i'm just dying to hear something and see if it works! The rehersal room our band uses is closed for refurbishment, so i can't take it there either, and there's no one i can borrow a cab off. I have a Laney RB2 and a Peavey Vypyr 75. Is there any way i can power my amp through these? I heard you can go from the SVT 3 line out into the computer, but can i do this with a normal instrument cable? Or do i need speaker cables for that?

Plug it into one of the speaker inputs of your combo. As long as the ohms are right. I'm guess that's what works

^ can't do that. No speaker In's on those. Do NOT plug into the Ext Pkr jack on the Laney- that will result in smoke. You need a stand alone cab, period.
