Amplifier question

I have never played through an amp that wasn't a practice amp, so I hardly know much about different kinds of amplifiers.

Anyway, I was just wondering if it's possible to use an amp cabinet without an amp head attached to it, because I've never seen pictures or videos of people using them without one. For example, could an Ampeg SVT 210AV cabinet be used by itself? I know this is a weird question, but like I said, I know hardly anything about different kinds of amps.

A dedicated speaker cabinet has NO power - it's passive. It requires power from an amp to put out sound.

Combo setup is composed of the following - pre-amp (tone section) with a power section, then the power goes straight into the cabinet. An all-in-one solution.

You could use it as an end table or beer stand.
