| | | | Amplifying My Bass With Headphones?
Sign in to disble this ad
So hey hopefully this is the right forum for this I didn't really know where to look or ask.
I was wondering if there were any headphones with built in amplification that I could just plug into my bass and play with something really small and portable that I can stow in my gig bag.
Any help would be really appreciated! |

Fits in my shirt pocket. $200.00 250 tunes, tuner, metronome, lick looper
sound effects, can slow down tune and keep it in pitch. |

If you search Ebay they are often in the $40 range,

I'll have to do some research and shopping around but the rockit and amplug ones look pretty good at the moment. |

Great for learning covers too. |

| | Tone ain't everything, but it's close. | | Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Nashville, Tn | | | You could use an iPod touch or iPhone with a gryphon cable that will plug into the bass, then into the iOS device, and plug headphones into it.
GK has a great free app that will allow you to mix the bass signal with the tune your playing with. I use the Peterson Strobo app for tuning. Wherever I am, I have my earbuds and iPhone with me so I'm able to plug and play. |

It has an 1/8" stereo jack that's almost invisible on the front and runs on a 9v. battery. You simply plug your headphones directly into the bass. You might see if David will install one on your bass, it was a cheap option new. Here's a pic of the bass (on the left), the small knob is the headphone volume and the jack is above it. http://s1137.photobucket.com/albums/...lection004.jpg David King Bass Guitars Home Page

| | Registered User | | | | | So I bought a MP BT1 used, didn't come with a manual but I figured out how to slow the songs down but it changes the pitch when you slow the song down. Is it a setting I'm missing? Or do you have to slow it down and then manually pitch it back up?
Thanks

Thanks | I don't have the unit in front of me, but there is an option to automatically do that for you.
I believe when the song is queued up, press Enter (the center button) and one of the first options is VSA. You want that to be ON. That is Variable Speed Audition, and means you can change the speed without changing the pitch. I don't think I ever change that setting... The manual is at this link
There is also a firmware update at that page. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
