What is it you did not like about the Orange AD 200 B?

I have never played through one personally, thats why I am asking.

What did you like about the Genz shuttle? Never played through one of them either.... Thats why Im asking..

Honestly can't think of any that worked properly that I couldn't say something good about. I'm not so crazy about the ones that don't work properly.

Liked:
1976 Ampeg V4b (through a 1976 SVT 810 cab - still the best tone I've EVER had)
Eden WT400 (warm great tone)
Eden WT550 (crisp great tone)
Sunn Coliseum 300
Demeter VTBP201/Crest CA4 (Very heavy but the combination killed!)

Meh:
Mesa 400+ (I know, I know, people rave about them. Mine failed 3 times on gigs plus I could never really get a tone I liked out of it. Sold it thinking I must be "tonally challenged".)

Completely hated:
Yamaha combo ("Ughhh" tone. Got it when I sold the above mentioned Ampeg setup to down size. Sold that and bought the above mentioned Sunn Coliseum 300)

Meh:

Still on the fence:
Ampeg PF-500

Hehe, have not tried all amps even if when going out to jams you could play a lot of different amps/cabs.

Liked:
Markbass
GKs of any kind
Ampeg SVTs
SWR

Don't know why anyone purchase these:
Acoustic (the new GC sponsored stuff)
Line 6
Fender Rumbles (should be banned from this planet.)

The rest is ho-hum OK.

Love:
- Ampeg SVTs (Vintage, VR, II non-pro)
- Traynor tubes and hybrids (YBA-3, YBA-200, XS400H)
- Mesa Walkabout
- Ampeg V4/V4B/VT22
- SWR

Like:
- Mesa 400+ (a little too much tweaking, capable of great tones but sounds too refined. I like a raw sound.)

Dislike:
- Ampeg hybrid SVTs
- GK (a little too SS and compressed)
- Peavey (too dirty)

My favorite sounds come from Ampeg tube amps.

In my opinion Carvin amps are the best bang for the buck.

Everything else is usable unless it's broken.

IMHO, YMMV, etc.

I love all the amps I still own (see sig). I liked all of the other ones I've played - the ones I didn't keep either didn't work for my sound or just weren't really any better than my favorites, so they moved along.

It seems every tube amp I played, sucked it's just lacking the it, gets lost in the mix somehow and I really wanted to love them .

I can only speak for the ones I've actually played or drooled over - so forgive the ramblings of an old fart (me).

Liked - when I was younger:
1) Kustom (c'mon, this is all we had - so there!)
2) Fender (but too expensive for me when I was that young)
3) Acoustic (the folded types)
4) Carvin (never played one - they just looked cool)
Dislike now:
1) Crate (since they went overseas, anyway)
2) Ampeg (dislike tubes)
3) Peavey (powerful, but unclear)
4) GB (just too TOO metallic)
5) Hartke (muddy, boom-y & farts too easily - the 115s at least)
6) VOX (just plain weak and not rounded)
7) Mesa Boogie (think Olde English VOX)
8) The New Acoustic USA monsters (the prices are silly)
9) Orange (too modern)
10) Fenders (but maybe NOT the newest ones)
Interested in at the moment:
1) Roland (I kinda like the Micro Cube I got a while back, although it's not a bass cab at all - but at 3Watts, it's some serious sound!)
2) Marshal
3) Danelectro N70 - (do they even make it at this time?
Won't touch with YOUR stick:
1) Mesa Boogie (looks are prolly correct - it looks chintzy)
2) Behringer (too much negativity on TB for me to even consider)
3) Dr. Bass (guess why?)
I bought Acoustic - the GC version, and so far I am happy and have had no failures or problems that I couldn't take care of myself. I don't trust their 'repair' facilities, if one even exists, not that anything was broken - just a bad connection.

But as it stands, it's just an opinion and I don't really think there's a 'bad amp' out there, just amps that are better for someone who isn't necessarily gonna be me.

I love old school thump and not so much the cutting, glass breaking highs of modern players and their gear.

Ya know - I really like the look of Peaveys though - those two aluminum bars are really neat looking. Funny - I am either repulsed or attracted to things that shine I guess.

Just got one of these, curious, what specifically are you not sure about?

I haven't tried many heads, its my first one, I've always played combo's but got fed up not being loud enough.
I tried out a few instore, loved SVT but I went for a cheaper head and bigger cab(ampeg 6x10)
PF500 sounds pretty great to me.

Love my GK 700RB II, EBS Classic 450 (never owned one, but I used one on stage)

Didn't care for my Carvin R1000

Strongly dislike anything from Mark Bass, I can never could get close to a sound I liked on any model I have played through.
