Another Ampeg Micro-VR Live Clip

Sign in to disble this ad
Just thought I'd post this here, for more insight into the capabilities of the Micro-VR with just one SVT210. It's a live clip from the little three-piece I'm playing in right now. First time around with my little Ampeg. Granted: It's a small venue (small crowd) and a pretty lean setup on the whole (+no PA, guitar player could use a bigger amp...never thought I'd say that.), but I like the sound of that bass amp.
The sound was recorded by the internal camera mic (some heavy limiting going on there).

Video be here.

Very cool! Nice tone with that, and it must be a breeze to haul. My local music store has one of those in and I've spent some time playing it. They're pretty cool! Get suprisingly loud too.

Makes me feel that way, too. Plus really strong, because its so light.
The size is of course a big plus when you have to cram three people and all their gear into a single station wagon.

Nice! I've always admired any band who can get a good balance without PA support. There's a certain rawness to it that just can't be beat. Man,now I want one of these little buggars. I think your guitarist is plenty loud for your situation.Keep it up dude, ain't nuthin wrong with what you're doin!

I have to admit that I actually bought it, because I loved its looks and didn't even know how it sounded (Internet. There was, of course, the option to return it.), but it turned out to be a pretty great sounding unit (and way lighter than my old B15-T)...
