another bargain find
after wanting to start bass again, recently found my aslin dane at pawn shop for $75 with bag- i did pay extra for an amp- but it was a lead/oragn amp and not to bassey- so i ran across a great condition EMC B110 , i never heard of this before, but after trying it out it really puts out a decent sound, i got it for $55

Back in to 70's, we used a fair bit of Electronic Music Corporation amps, they made Peaveys seem fragile.

My uncle used to sell EMC amps. they had a lifetime warranty that was basically "if it broke" they would fix it. Never caught on in my area of the world, but they were not bad at all.

only thing is- i looked at a crate bx160 for $80, i thought this EMC sounded cleaner and i didnt care for all those equalizer sliders on the crate- but on the back panel it says 300 watts, i seriously doubt that, i wonder what it really is? on another note the guy said he didnt like the 15" speaker so he 'upgraded' it with a 15"CTS speaker, i dont know if this myself is better or not, but i am ok with the amp so far

In the 70s a Bassist that I worked with had one that was similar, maybe the next size larger. It was a good solid amp that we did a lot of shows with it.
I think that the EMC was likely a better choice than the Crate. You did good.

The 300 watts you saw on the back is power used by the amp not output

Good deal. The bass looks a lot like a Music Man!!
