another dual Genz Benz gig

just got back from a successful gig here in the neighborhood of the Chelsea Clinton wedding in Rhinebeck (so a lot of folks out and about tonight). I'm reporting on a successful use of two Genz Benz amps in a large hotel bar situation where I'm doubling on upright and bass guitar.

The bass guitar, a passive MIA Fender Jazz 62 RI, goes into an EBS ValveDrive, then a Genz Benz 6.0 Shuttle (lifted off the 2-10 combo), then a Genz Neox 1-12. Everything cut, sliced and drove according to plan, no surprises with this rig. Also no FOH for the bass guitar, so you got to push it on through with your backline rig.

For the upright, though, we do it differently. Straight into a Genz Benz 3.0-8 teeny tiny. That functions as a monitor for me while the DI (which is great) goes FOH.

Done this a couple of times, very effective combo if you double on bass guitar and upright. The Genz Benz gear is very reliable and clean, and works very well.
