Is there any Ashdown ABM 115 user out there? I haven't come across hardly any reviews for this cab, only the compact version which is much smaller. If you own it how would you rate it?
Whats the bottom end, mids, any woofiness or farting out etc? I'm thinking about pairing it with the ABM 210 or even going 2 x 15 and getting 2 of them. Currently using the ABM 500 head with a Fender P

I'd avoid a 115 combo in general, separates tend to work better, as the cab size of a combo is usually too small, sacrificing utility for portability. I'd keep your head, if you want an Ashdown cab try it with the CL115 or Mag 115.

Ashdown no longer use the blue drivers in the ABM range, although their website often seems out of date and still shows blue drivers. I have an ABM 500 head and a separate 210 cab, so looking at separates not combo's. I've also previously owned a Mag 115 cab (and MAG 410) and consider them as different as apples and pears to the ABM range. I've seen a lot of old comments on TB about the MAG and ABM ranges using the same drivers. I don't know if that used to be true 10 yrs ago but recently they are very different. You can tell immediately by the tone, efficiencey, weight and the colour of the speaker cone: v different. My current ABM 210 cab kills my old MAG 410 for volume and tone and is much much heavier (you wouldn't know from the specs on their website though or even the plate on the back of the cab!). The plate on the back of my 210 ABM cab says 350W RMS (which is the old blue driver rating) but Ashdown have confirmed that they are now rated to 500W RMS. These are the new black coloured speaker cones.

The 210 ABM is rated to 350 watts, it's specified on the sticker glued to the speaker. |

Actually, Ashdown have upgraded these but haven't upgraded the plates on the back of the cabs. Ask Ashdown yourself, if you're not sure. This is extracts from emails i got Guy Morel from from their tech services dept. (BTW, 1st class customer service!):
"All the ABM 210 cabs with black cone speakers are rated at 500 watts... That is all the current ones... The one you have
is also fitted with speakers rated at 500 watts ...
Regards,
Guy"
"The ABM 210 cabs are rated at 500 watts... They used to be rated at 350 watts in the previous version with blue speakers..
Regards,
Guy"
I have got an email somewhere from him which admits that the plates on the back of the cabs haven't been updated

One is a UK made, one is chinese. Other than the handles, I can't tell the difference. I usually use a single for club gigs and stack them for larger or outdoor venues. I have no problem with the sound quality. They look really classy (especially the UK one) but the vinyl covering is soft and does not hold up to road abuse at all. The thing I like best is the light weight. I'm getting closer to 60 than I like to think about, and can pick them up myself with no problem.
