Just like the subject line says, anybody been gigging with this combo? How's it hold up? Not the 600W TNT, but the 400W TKO.

I have used Peavey stuff years ago. Built like a rock. But, the TKO is 400 watts?! I once had a Nitrobass head, and also a Probass head. Used them both with 410TVX and Pro410 respectively. They kicked @ss. But a TKO combo? I dunno. I have abandoned any head over 5 pounds, and any cab over 30 pounds. I dunno if you can gig with your combo unless it's a 3 piece coffee house gig.

I guess I'll respond again. The minus to the TKO is the weight, and you're sort of in that middle ground between bedroom rig and full blown gig rig which can be hard to wade through.

I've played one and I think you'd have enough to gig with. I play in a classic rock band, we play pretty loud and although my Genz Benz rig is more than enough, my Fender Bassman 250 watt/115 would also be enough in any situation I've encountered (we do small/medium bars) so the Peavey certainly should do the job. You would have to EQ it properly and not expect a massive low end (who wants that anyway?) and of course you'll be pushing it pretty hard, but the consensus is that the Peavey will take a licking and keep on ticking. Crank it up and have some fun and since (if I recall correctly) you'll be going through a house system, it should be fine. They are known for being able to take a beating. I'm sure I could make one work for me. You'll be way better off than with the Fender or BA 115 that's for sure.

If you're expecting to gig a lot, I would probably consider something more; lighter and more powerful, but that's up to you. Also, look at what GK and Hartke have to offer in you're price range.

Good luck.

I had an ampeg from the BA series at one point and it didn't cut it at all for me. I'm currently using the GK MB115, and it's good enough for tone and volume, but the DI jack is in a really awkward position, so that the release switch for the cable is butted up against the cabinet. I've had two different sound guys complain about the design. The DI also has a nasty buzz. I figure if a 200W 115 can handle pretty much every gig I've played so far (including some outdoor stuff with no PA), then the 400W Peavey will be fine.
