Any help would be appreciated in a Gallien krueger or Hartke decisison!

I am deciding between the Hartke 210xl or the Gallien krueger 210 mbx. The amp head I will be using will be an ampeg svt 200t. As funds become available I will be adding a 115 or another 210 later. Any suggestions between the two? Thanks for your help.

You need to try both cabs, they do sound different from each other!

This is probably one of those “listen to them both and decide what makes you more happy” situations.

The Hartke has the aluminum cone speakers, so that’s a consideration pro/con, and it’s heavier than the GK (50lbs vs. 40), so those are a couple thing I’d personally consider.

I have the 410xl, which is the same as a pair of 210xls. It has served me well for a very long time. My only complaint is the weight of it and wish I actually had the pair of 210s.

Also, you can call up Larry Hartke himself any time you want as he publishes his own cell phone number and posts on these boards too. That's amazing, who does that besides him?
