Yeah, I guess I was alittle general with the question. I will pursue on the internet with this info. I guess I just needed a reminder of what was out there. I was looking for something with durability the most. I've used Carvin, and have been happy with them, but their 12" is 8 ohm only.

I personally like Celestion's but you need to match it all with the cabinet you have and are going to use them in. A lot of TB'ers are pretty big on Eminence and they are huge in the industry. Both of them put out a plenty of 8 ohm 12" woofers.

Unless you're running a tube amp with no 8 ohm tap or less than 50 watts there's no reason to not go with an 8 ohm driver.

But I was hoping to configure a 4x12 @4ohm. I can only wire it as an 8ohm cab with four 8ohm 12s". Unless I keep it all in one cab, and do two speaker inputs @8ohms each to make 4ohms. Right?

Again, unless you must have 4 ohms because its a tube amp that can't use 8, or you have a very anemic amp, there's no reason to use a 4 ohm cab. If you have a tube amp you should be able to run 2 ohms. I wouldn't do a 4x12 either, it's a poor form factor. Do two 2x12, vertically aligned.

I'm only pushing the issue cause I'm planning on using a Carvin B2000 head, and use it as my main/only cab, and try and get it to it's 1300watt@4ohm range, then the 700watt@8ohm range. I guess I just wanna get more power out of any head I use, or am I just pissin' in the wind like you've said 2 times before.

Yep, pissin in the wind. That amp already can put out more than most any pair of cabs can make use of. Forget about the whole 4ohm/more power thing.

I agree go with a 2x12 cab, or a 4x10. If a 2x12, then get 2 4 ohm speakers and wire in series, or 2 16 ohm speakers and wire in parallel, leaving your cab as an 8 ohm cab, then you can add another cab now or later if needed, which will take you to 4 ohms when the cabs are in parallel.
