Any Markbass experiences with Tech 21

I am deciding which Markbass amp will work best for me and I will take my time to try as many as possible. I have read many posts here and have never seen an application where a SansAmp bass driver was used with the Markbass even though there is always an effects loop. This is most likely because nobody feels the need to, but, with my current rig I ALWAYS use it. (Combinations of:Genz Benz BRE1200. Ampeg 2B-RE, Epifani PS115, PS 210, Bergantino HT322, Avatar 212). In my guitar days (may as well admit it) very few solid state amps responded well to effects, at least, not nearly as well as tube amps.

BTW, I am looking at the F500, TA501, Tube 800 and Tube 500 as possible candidates.

Hey bassjkny,

I'm just starting to work my way through the BDDI knobbage with my SD800/Schroeder 410L rig and the results are OK so far! Even on the "SVT" and "FatTube", the upper-mids and high-end seem over boosted.

So many knobs, so little time!!!

Later, Kirk

Lots of Talkbassers use the Tech 21 VT pedal into LMIIs (and LMIII's), and report excellent results. The SABDDI also sounds excellent through a LMII (ime imo), and has the blend feature, which is really nice. I could be wrong, but I think that most folks run either of the Tech 21 devices into the input, not the effects loop, of these amps.

I use a BDDI with my LMtube (500), plugged into the front input not fx loop. Great results, really fattens things up and adds balls to the available tones. Awesome combo, do it!!!!

Thanks for the feedback

I really appreciate the feedback. I am a step closer to choosing one of the Markbass amps. Way to many choices to chose just one.
