Right now I'm using a BA115 Combo Bass amp. I'ts limited on power so I want to get something more powerful. I have some back problems and can't lift a lot of heavy equipment. I have a lot of steps in my house and need a setup that isn't going to break my back taking the amp up and down the steps. Thanks in advance

The GK MB212 combos seem to be getting a lot of good press lately, at something like 38lbs, I'd probably look in their direction first.

You might be better of separating the heads/speakers.
You can find alot of bass heads at around 500w under 20lbs. at about $500 or less and cabinets under 50lbs around $400.
Look at Carvin too. They have a 500w head that is only 5lbs and matching cab with it for like $650 for both.

I have a Fender Bassman 250/210 that I am selling. It weighs about 60lbs. That was my upgrade from the Ampeg BA115

If you wanna stick with Ampeg, a couple trips carrying a Micro VR rig would be easier on your back, louder and you'd probably agree sounded better.

Would you suggest a cabinet with 10's in it instead of a 15?
