Any tips on finding Mesa Road Ready cabs?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have been searching for a few years now. Seems like the only time I can find one is when I am dead broke. Does anyone have some tips on finding one? I am thinking about a 6x10 as soon as my motorcycle sells.

Setup a custom search on ebay that emails you when your item is listed.

Why didn't anyone ever tell me bossa nova sounded so good?

I save searches to my outlook. You first have to make sure Outlook is setup as an RSS reader. Then when you do a serach in craiglist look down at the lower right corner for the RSS logo. Click on this and it will pop up a dialogue in Outlook. I like to put them all in one folder so I click "advanced" and point to that folder. It's a lot less messy than getting an extra 100 emails each day.
Thing that sucks is loads of guys out there "keyword" their ads with Mesa-Boogie. I'm okay with that if they are selling an Egnater, Schroeder, Aguilar etc. But when its a DJ coffin or a drumset I lose control, turn green and muscley and hit the spam, prohibited, and miscategorized buttons. So yeah, you will get a lot of listings that arent mesa anything. But thats how I scored my roadready 8 ohm 2x15.

I search e-bay and craigslist on a regular basis.

It's just a matter of right place and right time.

In the past 2 years I have scored a RR 2X15, a RR 1516BE, and a RR 2X10 all for screaming deals.

Wow I never thought of setting up a search like that. I guess its a good thing I bit the bullet and asked. Every other couple weeks I check forums, ebay, and craigslist. There is one not too far from me for the right cash but it is on some weird site I don't trust.

usually the RR cabs cost a lot to ship. I would target areas close to me on craigslist. I think the 6x10 would be harder to find than a 4x10 or 2x15. These are the types of cabs people get rid of in seach of a lighter alternative. Good luck.
