I played one in a store for quite a while. Sounded like everything I like about the Goliath series. Really nice cabinet.

As far as playing small to mid size venues, it would be overkill for a lot of smaller gigs.

I've had one since it came out. Great cabinet. I replaced my Goliath III with it. In a direct comparison, I like the Golight better. The Golight has better lows in the 40-60hz area, and the horn sounds less "metallic". And I have positively BLASTED through it (Walter Woods 1200-watt head) without a hint of stress. I have the 2-10 also, which I think is pretty great as well.

Is the cab redesigned or did they just throw some neos in it? Guess I could look that up myself...

looks like the cab dimensions are the same but they attempted to shave weight wherever possible. I wonder how close to the weight of the golight I could get by putting deltalites in my speckled grill goliath III? I don't really care about the weight savings though. Just be interesting to know the difference.
