Anyone Else Have a Scratchy Volume Pot on Their Streamliner?

Sign in to disble this ad
Just got the Streamliner 900 and the volume pot is scratchy.
I'm still in my 45-day return with MF and I'm sure Genz would take care of me, not worried at all, but I'm not too excited about shipping it back.
I tried muting the amp and working the pot back and forth and that worked a little, but it just remains scratchy when you hold a note and increase or decrease the volume.
Anyone else experiencing this?

Give Scott or Jeff a call at the factory, they will get it taken care of directly.

I believe....

a few folks may have mentioned that here with their STM amps. I bought a new one a couple weeks ago and Yeah, a couple of the pots are scratchy but only at the bottom, very near off positions.

It would not affect me at gigs since I would not be setting those knobs in that area live, just noticing here at home. Not sure whats causing this from new heads though? I have a can of DeOxit I was gonna try to clear it up with.

I'm working with Scott at Genz to see what they want to do with replacement, or whether I should just do it at MF.
He said it was the wiper or something inside the pot. I demonstrated the problem over the phone and he could totally hear it.
It's not like you'd be working the volume pot while you're playing, but it's brand-new and I'd like it to work right.
Again, not too worried about it and confident I'll get it resolved.
