anyone ever "lemon law'd" an amp?

I'm considering pursuing this and am wondering if anyone has done it. Per California Lemon Laws (which apply to consumer goods other than cars), if something under warranty is in a repair facility for over 30 calendar days this qualifies it as a "lemon" and the purchase price (plus other damages depending on the details) is refunded.

If you have the time and resources to pursue it, I don't see why not. How much do you have into the amp? You will have filing fees and a lot of other fees, maybe even lawyer.

cool law - but are Bass amps "Consumer goods"?

Also check your credit card that you bought it with. Some offer additional, really no hassle protection.

Magnuson-Moss is a federal law that protects the buyer of any product that costs more than $25 and comes with a written warranty.

Thankfully it appears as though the situation has been rectified. Grease applied to squeaky wheel.
