i found one online used for $175, american. but can't find any reviews or pricing because it's been out of production for a while. if it sounds good i'm probably going to buy it anyway, but i was wondering if anyone knew anything about these amps and if it was worth 175 clams in the first place.

here is the ad i found:
ampeg bass amp model 210

and here is the closest i can find online:
Ampeg BA-210SP Bass Combo Amp with Effects and more Bass Amplifiers at GuitarCenter.com.

They are decent enough practice combo's, but the 2 10's cannot make full use of the rated power, and on top of that, you cannot add an ext cab to it. If you're looking to be loud with a band, pass.

interesting. i don't need to be real loud. my band has one guitar, one bass, drums and one lead vocal. and i always, always go DI unless the venue can't, then it's small enough i would think the 2x10 could do the job.

i mainly just need to hear myself on stage and at practice.

Based on that, you should be alright with it. I wouldn't though.
