Anyone got any cool/odd rack mods?

I made the jump to a full rack setup over christmas, and found a couple of cool ideas thru random Youtube videos and just scouring the internet for ideas.
First thing I did was slap some velcro in there and attach a bright as hell LED flash light in there.

The other thing I did was rivet some plastic clips to the inside, and then cut up an extra cargo net I had for my car. Then got a little plastic tackle box to throw some tools in with some extra batteries, picks, all that stuff.

I can also fit in an entire Boss ME-50B if I need.

Anyone got any nifty mods they've done to theirs?

No (actually, I just made the “jump” from a full rack to a 3.75 lb. head, haha), but I sure like that mod.

Good luck.

I don't use a rack system much lately, but I installed a Boss TU-2 tuner display, input, and on/off button into the front panel of a 1U Furman Power Strip some 6 years ago. Lots of room in those cases. Thinking of doing the same thing with a VTbass and Ice module from a broken MB500. I don't see myself really using it that much though since I purchased the MB200...

I don't use a rack anymore but my favorite thing was a rackmount bass holder. If you have a heavy enough rack, it's a nice alternative to hauling a stand around (or leaning your bass on an amp). I'd like to get one of those Bass Hangers that are designed to fit around the towel bar of an Ampeg 810 since it was so convenient.

Did this ages ago; I inset into a handle a BNC socket with 12V DC going to it, and use it with a detachable swiveling gooseneck Littlite that reaches all the way around the back easily:

I just have a panel of closed cell foam cut to the shape of the front lid that I can use for vibration isolation, partly because I don't want anything hard bouncing against LCD windows or panels when stuff is packed into the lid. Truthfully though, I have so much room in the back usually all that ever goes in front is the closed cell foam itself.

Here's another coupld of cheapie lighting aids, one of which gets used on PA racks.

That black push button towards the upper right corner is an amp mute button - that way, I don't have to have anything on the floor...
