Anyone have any info on this old Traynor cab?

I can't seem to find any info on this amp anywhere. I purchased it to pair it with my YBA-3 (which I don't have yet but saving to purchase). I got what I believe is a good price for it (200$), but I can't find any information on this cab anywhere on the net.

Found some info for you

The cabinet is mentioned in Yorkville's history book on page 30. It looks like the 15" drivers are part number 7370 and a suitable substitute is part number 7319. The cabinet was likely made in 1975 or 1976. Sources for this info were Google searches:

"G1-215" site:traynoramps.com

"G1-215" site:yorkville.com

The serial number on the back of the cabinet indicates that the cabinet was made in Feb of 75. It was the 81st one made that month.

I believe that it was a 100W bass cabinet with Marsland speakers.

Marsland was bought by McBride. On a long shot, they might be able to provide additional information on the drivers at Q-Components.

What a great article, quilttopjazz24. Thanks for that! I scanned it but I'm at work so I'll read it word for word later at home. As an owner of a BassMaster 200, YBA4, and a pair of Pulse 18" subs, I found it very informative. I'd join the Yorkville/Traynor club if I was into TB clubs, but I just don't see much use in them. Thanks again!

Thank you very much. that was helpful.

I'm hoping it'll be a good sounding cab with the amp I'll be trying it on. I know I did things backwards, but I haven't been able to find any 2X15 cabs locally and this one fit the bill.

LMAO.... I used to own one! I took the stock Drivers out, and replaced them with RCFs. Never should have sold it. Dam fine cab, but a little hard to move.

^ Cool! Good to know. I'm not sure what speakers are in there, but I'll try it with the head (when it comes in) before deciding whether or not to change the speakers.
