Anyone know any good 1x12 combos to gig with?

I'm playing punk music in a 3 piece band. My guitarist uses a 75 watt amp. Has anyone gigged with a single 12" speaker before without any additional hook ups.

The mesa m3 combo would sound killer... eventually, you'd want to stack that on another 112 cab.

This too would sound awesome.... seriously, I think when it comes to 112 combos, Mesa's the only game in town.

Eden DC112XLT-S

plenty of power and you can expand as needed. (I have run it with additional 2x10 and 1x15 Eden cabs, 600+W)

I just sold an Aguilar AG500 112 combo. It was awesome - even more amp than I needed!

Markbass 121p combo. It's really small, but that thing puts out some juice, and with the 121 extension cab, it's a monster!

Not much, max would be $450.
Ive been looking at the GK MB 112 for a long time. Only thing is, no one out here carries them. Also I have never played through a 12" before. Do they lack in volume ?

For volume, a single 12 may or may not be enough, (not enough for me). Consider a 2nd 12 right from the start. it's more important than just amp wattage.

Okay - I admit it - I'm old-school -- and all the pieces mentioned are nice units. I think for the money, the SWR Workingman's 12 is a good unit. It's built better than the bargain brands (Hartke, G/K), the amps are pretty quick and the speakers sound well-balanced.
It is probably in the game output-wise, but a 100 watts isn't a lot to play with.

As of now I am using an Acoustic B100, so far its been enough for what I am doing. its only 100 watts through a 15" speaker. how much different will the tone be if its 200 watts through a single 12" speaker?

It's 200w to a single 12. It probably won't hang when things get loud.
