yeah it is older than dirt though. I'm guessing the head is from the 70s. The 1810 cabs were introduced about 1980 IIRC.

Too obvious. Couldn't be that. However, it could have been originally intended for amplifying fish. I'll let you figure out where the patch cord goes.

Looks like the bass version of the Musician series of amps.

The cab you see there is called a Siamese.

I've got the multi-purpose version of that head. The "Musician"
I really like it. It's loud as balls and the EQ section has a pretty decent range.

It looks like a 400 series. 210W @ 2ohm.

Free makes it good. It is for bass, I bought one of these new when they came out - probably late 70's early 80's. Don't let the knobs fool you, the amp is basically only capable of one tone, and it ain't that great.

I'm not sure if the old clunker would even work good for fishing, to tell the truth.

I had that exact rig in 1980. It worked fine for me, and sounded a hell of a lot better then the Fender Bassman 50 it replaced. The price is right on yours. I'd consider it a significant score.

you should still ask for your money back

(kidding, if it works it works, and will do until you upgrade, at which point it can go live in the practice room. the bass player in one of my bands uses an '80s 4-channel peavey 100w PA head on a random 1x15 cab in the practice room and it does just fine for that.)

I still have an 1810 cab for practising at home. All three speakers have been replaced over the years but the cab, which has seen many gigs, many miles of travel and more than it's fair share of abuse, is still in good nick.

Wow, does that critter bring back memories!
Band I worked in back in '79 supplied me with one of those and a 215 cabinet. And like Mungi, it replaced a 40/50 watt Bassman.

OP: As I remember, the "Booster" jack can be used as either an Out or an In for slaving 2 amps.
