Anyone know what my amp is?!

...and don't say "old and dusty"..I know that aleady.

I bought it second hand in 1998 in Birmingham and it's been faithful ever since at home and for small pub gigs. Its solid state, probably 1980s but doesn't have a manufacturer's name anywhere. Ignore the sticker on the front above where it says "Bass 50" - there's nothing underneath it.

It says "Made in England" on the back and has an LS and Slave output. Simple low and high inputs and volume, treble, middle and bass controls.

It's old but sounds great with my Squier vintage modified jazz bass.

Anyone know who may have made it? I don't know of many manufacturers who would have built amps in England in the 80s. I thought most of the cheaper end was coming from the Far East by then.

There was a bunch of entry level bass amps in uk during the 80s. Torque, HH, Carlsbro come to mind.

The casing/tolex and the handle look exactly like an HH but can't see a Bass 50 model in any of their old catalogues...
