Man that sucks, this might be a stretch but maybe you can look into the local news channels. Alot of times they have those public intrest/help segments.

Here in NY there's "Help me Howard" where people who have issues with others send Howard and his newscrew out to get answers. He usually bugs the crap out of them until something happens.

Might be worth a shot considering there are a lot of others who have problems with Dr. Bass.

I saw some pics about 8 months ago from someone who went. His shop is in a small industrial warehouse complex down a tiny little road past some slum housing. Several businesses in the same warehouse building, there are no signs. You can be standing outside his door and not even know it.

Nothing you can do will get you your cabs any faster. Just count yourselves lucky if you get them at all. If anyone wants to play roulette and place a new order, just understand what the potential is, and be sure to use a credit card that can be charged back if necessary.

What kind of moron would order a cab from Dr. Bass? No offense meant. You've a better chance of getting a cab by throwing your money in a wishing well.

I see how Marc is avoiding the phone calls. I called yesterday, his message said that business hours are 10-6 Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. I called this morning (Friday) his message now says they are closed till the first of April! Let's guess, come the first of April, his message will say they have a power failure, or whatever, to make sure he has an excuse not to every answer the phone!!!

What a jerk he has become in the past two years, far more than before that!

Why do you suppose this all happened? Let's just imagine that a super-greedy jerk was running a business, willing to do anything to make money. Now, sure, you can make 100% profit if you take money and never make a product. But that's not sustainable for very long. Even Ponzi schemes have a longer shelf life than that before they collapse. Surely you could make more money over time by actually selling products. The payoff isn't as immediate, but it doesn't have a built-in collapse.

Weird thing is Marc actually built my custom cabinet, he sent me photos and I have posted them here in another thread. Why not send me the finished product after going through with building it?

If this offends anyone I'm sorry, but from what I've read and heard about Dr. Bass, if your foolish enough to buy one of their rediculous cabs you get what you deserve - out your money you put into it, a long wait, poor CS and alot of unneeded headache. No cab is worth that to me by a long shot.

I did make contact with a couple very shifty critters at one of my gigs in Vegas, who, by the way, are IN Myrtle Beach. A couple hundred drinks later, plus introductions to a few young ladies, they're waiting for a phone call.
But, I have legal remedies about ready to crank up once all the evidence is gathered, so I'm reserving the phone call for last resort..........

what a sad state of affairs.

the least he could do is contact his clients, even if its going to take quite a while longer to fill his orders. i mean, IMO, there's nothing worse than being in limbo, and not knowing if he's going to end up screwing everyone that's dealt with him. if i was going to be ripped off by someone, i'd rather know sooner than later. he must be aware of all of these negative posts, so it seems to me that he's in hiding. and if he is, he's a lowlife.

Oh, he knows, all right! He has stuffed all the old orders, and is soliciting new orders from unsuspecting customers, or is building and delivering to new customers at the expense of those who has paid in full for cabinets, already. I suspect he, um, turned a new leaf, or, his New Years Resolution was to start fresh using our money to rebuild his company, and in doing so, feels no obligation to fulfill his responsibility in satisfying his past obligations!

Doctored Bass

Even in the "good" days for Dr. Bass, getting him to return calls or do what he said he would do was a crap shoot at best. He was always friendly, but you had to call and call.

If he is the kind of guy that has already taken money and not fulfilled orders and it has occured to him (as it must have) that his business is now toast, why would he bother to re-open and ship what is due?

Marc's silence speaks volumes.
