Question Anyone make a headcase like a Carvin SV-2 but deeper???

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm looking for a head case like the Carvin SV-2 for my Peavey Tour 700. Unfortunately the Carvin SV-2 is 2 inches too shallow for the Tour 700. Does anyone else make a similar, traditional "ampy" looking head case for rack mount bass amps?

Carvin SV-2 for example......

Those are simple and easy to make yourself, man. You could do it with a handsaw if you had to. I've made several for various amps I have. It's just a square box with open ends. If I had to, I could make one for you, if that doesn't violate some commercial rule. Simply wrap a 1/2" plywood "box" around the amp, use 3/4" strips where the rack ears bolt in with T-nuts, screwhead threaded bolts, and even washers/lockwashers. Finish/hardware it however you want......easy. 2U amps like that, a strap handle on the heavy side and short rubber feet work best.
