| PL 380. Might be more than you need. Don't get hung up on Class D, there are other lightweight options. It's mainly a switching power supply that gives light weight. |

I'm looking to replace my QSC PLX series with something lighter but not necessarily more compact.
Weight is the deal maker here.
If it fit into the same rack space as the 1604, that would be even better. Looks like the CARVIN DCM1000L would work just fine. Anyone used one yet?

But as you pointed out, the Crown and Carvin options aren't very much lighter than your QSC? |

They're both very much lighter than the QSC.
Looks like I might be trying the Crown option. |

I just use it as a stage monitor and run the Tech21 direct
major props to members here for the metal Bassman tags
