ANYONE OWN A TWEED AVATAR CAB?

I'm thinking of spending some of my refund cash on a new Avatar cab. I see they offer tweed tolex now. Anybody got one in tweed? I'm picturing a vintage Fender Bassman look.

There is a big difference between real tweed and tweed tolex. I'm not picturing a Fender Bassman with tweed tolex.

I have a pair of tweed SB112s with black metal grills that I recently bought. The tweed tolex is well-done and looks gorgeous. It's slightly textured to mimic real tweed, and of course it's more practical. I'll try to get a picture up later today. I might make cloth grills for them at some point but right now the black and tweed looks awesome with my gold and black Eden amps.

A pic would be fantastic!

I looked at a tweed Tolex Avatar 4x10 that was on the local CL. It's closer to a beige color in the flesh than it is to the vintage yellowed tweed look.

Check out my entry in the Avatar owners club thread.

Tweed SB112 with Oxblood and Gold Grill.

The comment that it is more Beige than the aged yellow is pretty realistic.

I think it looks dead sexy. In fact today, i forgot to take my Bass Gear Bean-o and I am getting a bit of GAS for a 2x10sister for her.

I dont really have any great good light pictures of it. he one in the thread above is probably the best on I have.

Fortuneatly, I only have a small handfull of posts so a search wotn take you forever

Sorry for lowish quality of these pix--I couldn't find my tripod for nonflash pix and the flash (in the first pic) was washing out the color:

The color of mine is more gold than beige--the tweed is brown on yellow and looks authentic to me, but I'm biased!

That tweed tolex looks decent but the ginormus black plastic corners should be small chrome units IMO.
Also think the handles are a bit overpowering for such a small cab.

Thanks! I dig the look. Though like JimC said, I wish Avatar had options for the corners and handles.

I also dig this look:

I like the tweed...

Wish Dave would now offer the Avatar cabs with the old style Ampeg blue grill cloth.

Hey Dan, what style cab will you buy?
I'd be all over that 15/6 based on the reviews except I'm loving my 300 watt amps (SVT and Walkabout) which I gather don't have enough guts to drive one
