Cool Anyone Playing On A Vintige Combo...And Want to Brag About It

Sign in to disble this ad
So about a year ago i had the the chance to buy a Gibson 1964 SRT-4 Scout for 200 bucks. This was a practice amp that Gibson made for guitars but this thing Rocks with my bass. Its about 80% orginal but its got it where it counts. The speaker is a 10in Square back and after 40 some years has the best tone i have ever heard.

That being said i would love to hear what other are playing on. So what do ya got?

Not to highjack............but,.............Jimmy, Do you wrap that rig in plastic at the end of the night? Looks like it has been torn from the pages of an Ampeg catalog.

lol! i do have a couple vinyl covers but if you take a close look at the head, the output transformer leans a little because of a dent in the chassis and the chassis is prety pitted.

on top: ebs microbass ii, fmr rnc 1773 compressor. in rack, tech 21 vt bass, a couple x2 wireless receivers, and cheap furman power conditioner. but this is an old picture. i sold the vt and microbass and replaced them with a vt deluxe, don't use the comp anymore. or the rack.

I still have some vintage amp gear including a first year issue 1975 Music Man One-Thirty (1 channel bass and 1 channel guitar) head with double 15" cabinets. I have a 1976 Acoustic 370 head but sold the cabinet years ago. I also have an early 60s Gibson Falcon guitar amo I use for practice.
