Anyone run 2 combo's using something like this? Radial BigShot AB-Y true bypass switcher
I've got a GK MB115 and I'm thinking of picking up a second one and trying this.

Stupid question? Redundant question?
Sounds like a worthy idea to me. One amp with effects the other dry? Besides, if one amp took a crap on you, you'd still have a backup.

The single high-quality amp would probably be less expensive and better sounding too. |

The phase reversal is a nice feature, too. I also run a Yamaha NE-1 Parametric in front of the whole mess, or sometimes a tube preamp.

One for clean bass with a boomerang and one for soloing with a guitar pedal. It was nice to have the independent controls on the amp for each sound, but it was more cumbersome than it was worth. Try it though if you can. It's a fun way to hear your bass |

Heard less than stellar things about the radial from some players ( mostly reliability ) so I passed on it, but I have no first hand exp with the radial. |

| | | | Depending on the out options on the first amp in the chain you may not need a box of any sort unless you plan on switching between the two amps. I used go bass into amp A, line out of amp A to amp B with a couple of SWR Baby Blues. Worked well. |

Shaun | Any phase / noise problems with the Whirlwind?
