Interested if anyone has seen/played through either the 10" or 12" version of this cab. http://www.eden-electronics.com/prod...ries/ex112.asp
Nice little uber-small cab at 300 watts at 4 ohms and only 13kilos (30 pounds) would match my Eden WTX500 nicely for small gigs.
Curious it doesn't show the frequency response on the webpage?
Hoping the tone is a little different from the D112XLT's though, as I found them to be too mid-bitey for my taste.
But to each their own...

I am envisioning them to be more like the Markbass New York 121 but with a little more bottom end and "flat" responce ( I find all Markbass cabs have a mid boost inherent in them) http://www.markbass.it/products.php?...&cat=2&vedi=97

If you can't find one I'd pop into Bass Gear Direct seeing your in Sydney and try out the Wizzy 12 M-Line - 4 or 8ohms. I think it will sound pretty close to the EX112 with probably more warmth and definition.

I didn't get much of a chance to really put it through the paces since the store closed 5 minutes after I sat down. But if I like what I hear this coming Friday when I get back to the city I'm trading in my old road gear (ampeg svt410hlf) for it since I don't have time to gig anymore.
I'll have a full review on it this weekend for you guys either way.

They sound freakin' great for what they are intended for. Really smooth and punchy little cabs. I personally liked the 12" better as I thought it just filled up the room a bit better although the 10" did honestly have a little better mid range response. I can tell you that the coaxial ex112 sounds absolutely nothing like the D112XLT (which I personally find to be an annoying sounding cabinet-too much mid range for my liking). |

Edit: Just ordered a Mesa Boogie Scout 112.
