Anyone tried power out into Ampeg SVT-DI input?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have an Ampeg SVT-DI and I can't find any info in the owner's manual or online about people running out of their power output and into the input of the Ampeg SVT-DI (ala Countryman and others) to get the preamp and power amp sound direct to the board. Thoughts? Anyone tried this? Does it work?

I have an Ampeg B-15N and I have run out of the power output many times and into a Countryman Type 85 DI (set to speaker input) and then run the DI signal (with preamp and power amp sound coming from the B-15N) to the board and then a speaker cable into the cab of the B-15N. I want to know if I can do the same thing but into the input of my Ampeg SVT-DI.

Thanks!

Sounds like a good way to blow it up.

Countryman is made to run at speaker level power, most aren't including the ones built into amps.
