Right here. I use a custom Low Down Sound 610,sealed and voiced like the original SVT. Its the perfect all around size.

I've used an Ampeg SVT 610 and really liked the punchy sound.

I have an SWR Goliath Sr. It's an excellent cabinet. Great sound, pushes lots of air. Probably the best I've ever owned. Had a chance to hear a pre-Fender version of this cab side by side with this one, the pre-Fender sounds noticeably better. Grab one if you have a chance.

I have had the Ampeg 610 and found it really muddy and heavy.

I now use a Bergantino NV610 and it rocks my pants.

Used a Mesa Powerhouse 6x10 for a number of years. Perfect size for just about every venue. Easier to move than a 4x10 and brought a lot more thunder.

It was especially nice for outdoor gigs. I'm back to a 4x10-x2 or 2x10 setup these days.

Yeah, my main gigging cab was a PH610 for a few years - I'd probably still have it, except I got a killer deal on a PH810... Another great 610 that I've played alot is SWR's Goliath Sr...

If you're running an all tube head, and are looking for "old school" midrange sound, Berg's NV610 is as good as it gets for a sealed 610 - it's also considerably lighter than the Mesa or SWR...

Thanks for the replies. I found a great deal on an Ampeg SVT Classic 610 is why I was wondering. Just know I'm not happy with my 210. I can get it very reasonable, so I may give it a try. I have a GK700RBII for a head.

Make sure you try it out with your head - and push it atleast as hard as you're going to use it normally... I say this because I almost got an SVT-610HLF, except that I could make it fart out too easily - and at the time, I was also using a 700rb-II... Had I hung on to it, there is no doubt in my mind that I would've blown drivers in it - I stuck with my PH610 instead, which *for me* ended up being a good move...

FWIW, the 700rb-II worked really well with both the PH610 and Goliath Sr...

I own the pre fender swr 6x10 and it kills with whatever amp i have paired it with... Tryed the hartke ha 2500 great but alittle underpowered for the cab. lh500 is the amp im running it with now and its perfect. also bi amped it with a carvin bx600 with another 4 ohm cab on one channel and 2x15s on the other channel. I highly recommend this cab. There it is on stage covered with a pirate flag.

ME TOO.

Right now I have a Mesa 610, but I never use it. I just love my Ampeg 810 too damn much.

I gigged a Schroeder 610 for three years. Loud and good sounding, very light for a 6x10. I like the additional height over a 4x10.

Sold it to get something lighter, and less Schroeder sounding.

I just went from a Ampeg 810 to a Bergantino 610 and it is all pros and no cons for me.

The Ampeg 610s come with a tweeter as well.
