Anyone use Rocktron Velocity 300 for bass?

I have one of these in my rack for guitar modelling (Digitech GSP1101). Was curious if anyone is using a Rocktron Velocity for bass and how you are using it. I may give the GSP a whirl before I consider other pre-amps.

Bump. 40+ views and not even a WTH is a guitar player doing here?

What would be an inexpensive pre-amp that would give up the classic tones I could match with this thing? Tech 21? Any recommendations on which model? I need flexibility to go direct to board as well.
